ADGP at Calder Park was an AMAZING event. DriftKid takes 4th place against some of Australia's best and well known Drifters.
This was probably one of the best events our Team has competed in and not just with the level of competitors, but with the way this event was so smoothly run. There was no down time and the commentary was terrific. The spectators got some real good examples of our Australian Drift battles and they were the first to know it as every judge run was announced to the audience directly.
The pit walk was packed and gave all spectators an opportunity to sit in the DriftKid's car, check out the V8 and the performance done to a standard VE SS Ute that was blazing the battles right to the top 4.
DriftKid was one of the only vehicles that did not make contact to the very well known carnage track concrete walls and was consistent as he always is touching every clipping point run after run.
With the rain set in for the top 4 battles, DriftKid struggled against Rob for proximity as the wet banking corner slowed the heavy Ute down and Rob took the win.
DriftKid then battled Danny Williamson for 3rd or 4th position which went to a re-run after the first battle, but again, with the wet banking track, DriftKid lost proximity and took out 4th place for round 2. Andrew Hawkins (event organizer & Director) runs a fantastic event packed filled with media, trade shows, give aways, TV and a bucket load of Drift HD cameras on every car for every battle. So watch out for the up coming footage from ADGP, it is going to be jammed packed full of action.
Congratulations to the ADGP Round 2 Top 4
