Archerfield Comp December 2009
This was an amazing effort for the DriftKid. Making the top 8 against some of Pro Tour
drivers and having the battle of the night with Rob Whyte in the 350Z(Pro Tour 2009 ). Squaring off against each other and DriftKid really held his own against the Pro driver. With a re-run after they drew, and another intense battle. After sliding around the first corner coming into the Option 1 corner, Rob Whyte Slides out and Nick is free to win the battle. Only it does not stop there. Just as DriftKid sees Rob in his revision mirror spin out, Driftkid's skyline loses the inter cooler hose again. As you will see on the you tube video, DriftKid putters off the track into the middle of the Field and lifts the bonnet. All DriftKid's supporters are screaming and chanting "Skyline Skyline" only to find out that due to Driftkid not COMPLETING the track, it was not a win. Much to Team JNC disappointment, Rob and Nick battle again only for DriftKid to lose by 1 point.
A few very hard lessons driftkid learnt that night.
1. Always finish the track /battle no matter what
2. He CAN compete with the best pro tour drivers in Australia.
Well done Nick, you keep on astonishing us with your talent and enthusiasm.
