ADGP Round 2 Video. DriftKid vs Luke Fink Battle and a NEAR MISS

What an amazing event.  DriftKid placed 7th over all, and had some very hard battles for the day with Drift SQUID and Luke Fink.. And this video is his battle for the top 4 against Luke Fink.  DriftKid certainly gave Luke Fink a hard chase but it was not enough to get him through.  A little bit of controversy I may add as in the Driver meet , they said that the Drivers need to emulate the lead car no matter what "if he drives like shit - YOU drive like shit" so in that respect, When Nick took the lead run and took it shallow on the 1st corner, Luke should have taken it shallow but instead he went wide to the 2nd clipping point.  But all in all, it was a fantastic weekend, and for the DriftKid to be knocked out by one of the Worlds best drifters and winner on the day, JOB WELL DONE NICK...!!!
So the DriftKid will be at Indy at the Gold Coast this weekend, so if you are down there, come over and say Hi to the Kid.  He may get on the indy track for 15 minutes to show the gold coast what he does best, but it really depends on the V8 organizers for the event and if it is running on time.

Good Luck DriftKid

For those of you who don't know the next round of the Supercheap Shootout at Archerfield is on Friday Nite 24th July 2009 at 7.00pm.

Nick is currently sitting 3rd after 3 Rounds of the Supercheap Challenge. This round is the Reverse Track and after seeing Nick practicing Wednesday night, I think that he will be in with a real chance to finish on the Podium and cement his place as a real contender in this series.

If Nick's determination is any gauge, he is heading for a great finish to the series. To be competing at this level and doing so well is a testament to his ability as a deserving participant in this Competition.

Contrary to what some of the knockers have been saying, if the Drift Kid did not want to participate he would not be made to. He is a teenager, and if my memory serves me correctly, you are hard pressed to get them to do something that they do not want to do. This is his choice and I feel that he is a deserving, humble and unbelievably talented competitor. Luckily this negativity from other people does not affect the end result as Nick lets his driving ability do the talking. He has the full support of his family and work colleagues and is a huge talent.

Good Luck Nick and we will all be there cheering you on.

GO K.I.D. (Keep it Drifting)
