DriftKid WINS ADGP and enters Formula Drift Asia

Some History has been made.
Nick "DriftKid" Coulson wins the ADGP Exhibition in a Holden Commodore Ute.
What a day it was.  You could not fault Nick's driving talent all day, he was a force to be reckoned with and taking the podium position says it all.  He had some tough battles with Mitch Bunny going to a re-run for the top 8, Tom Monkhouse for 1st & 2nd and other amazing drivers such as Prosenik, Michelmore and Weisell.  They day was terrific and long but worth the drive to Melbourne Calder Park Thunder Dome.
But lets not forget the people that made this all possible, Achilles Radial Tyres gave Nick the exceptional grip on the track to rip roar around with proximity and angle, Hi-Torque Performance whom had just souped up the engine before we left, Fulcrum Suspension for their amazing set up that keeps Nick exactly where HE wants to be with SuperPro and Tein and NPC for the most reliable heavy duty Clutch you can get.  With out these amazing companies, Nick Coulson would not be on that podium Today in 1st Position.

A Special Thanks to Martin Couson (DriftKid's Dad) Rick Stapylton (Pit crew) and especially Craig Patterson (DriftKid's Uncle) whom came out of retirement for this huge event, all I can say is THANK GOD he was there.  We will elaborate on that in our next post about Formula Drift Asia Round 1..

CONGRATULATIONS NICK AND TEAM JNC

Here is the Managers Update for Day 1
Day 1 Australian Drifting Grand Prix

What a Fantastic weekend of Drifting at Calder Park in Melbourne. Saturday was the Australian Drifting Grand Prix exhibition event where the DriftKid qualified 6th & took the win in some very hard fought battles.
Top 32 was against one of S.A's best drifters Simon Michelmore & the DriftKid knew he would have to go all out to get the win.
Next was ex DA Driver Nathan Weisell who put up a great fight.
Top 8 was going to be hard as Mitch Bunny was on fire & he had 1 up on the DriftKid from the Last round in W.A last year. It was an awesome battle & the judges couldn't pick it so a re-run was called. The 2nd battle was epic as both guys wanted the win but the DriftKid just wanted it more & took the win.
Top 4 saw Michael Prosenik line up in his LS powered s13 & give the DriftKid a run for his money. The Driftkid took the win & moved onto the Finals.
The Battle for 1st & 2nd was never going to be easy as it was going to be a DriftKid v Tom Monkhouse Explosion.
Nick & Tom had the crowd on their feet which is no wonder as these guys are at the top of their game. Blow for Blow the guys battled hard & the judges couldn't pick it so a Re-Run was called.
The DriftKid gave it his all on the next runs & was awarded the win. He took out the top spot on the podium & a Wild card entry & FD License to Formula Drift Asia the next day.
