DriftKid places 3rd at ADGP Australia Day Drift Festival

Congratulations goes to the DriftKid after taking 3rd place at the Australia Day Drift Festival on the new South Circuit of Sydney Motorsport Park.

The Australian Drifting Grand Prix put on a fantastic array of very talented driver's from all around the country & even one from Japan. The Top 16 Invitational meant that every battle was a big one & no free passes were going to be had for this event. Nick was on fire from the very 1st lap & was Blazing the Achilles 123s to cover the crowd in a blanket of smoke.

Qualifying mid field in 7th meant Nick would battle Danny Williamson in his Ballistic S15. After defeating Danny the next Battle was a huge one for Nick. Beau Yates former Drift Australia champion & all round top level Drifter. After the 1st run the judges couldn't pick it & a Re-Run was called. The next run Nick was all over the back of the AE86 & the win was awarded to Nick. Next was a very familiar car & Driver to Nick as he has battled him in this very same position all of the 2012 season. Rob Whyte & Nick went at it again with Rob taking the win by the narrowest of Margins according to the judges. The Battle for 3rd & 4th was up against seasoned International Drifter & owner of PowerVehicles at the Ebisu Circuit in Japan Andy Gray In his crazy JZX100. Andy was top Qualifier & was going to be a hard battle as he battles with all the top level Japanese Drivers. Nick took a convincing win to finish 3rd overall. It was great to see the all Aussie DriftKid & the VE SS Drift Ute on the podium for a very fitting event.......STRAYA!!!!!
