Round 5 of the Repco Pro Drift Championship has been run & won. The DriftKid Qualified equal 4th with Danny Kenneally & Mick Rosenblatt & had to sort the order between themselves as the judges couldnt do a countback because they all scored exactly the same points throught Qualifing.
Nick ended up taking the 6th Qualifing spot & took on Levi Clarke for the top 8 Battle. Levi led first & Nick put on...a fantastic chase lap door to door all the way to the end & on Nick's lead lap Levi made contact with Nick on the 1st corner sending Nick into a spin. The judes awarded Nick the win to move onto the top 4.
The next battle was Rob Whyte to determain who goes through to the top 2. Rob & Nick's Battles were fantastic with both cars smoking out of turn 6. Rob took the win & Nick then moved on to battled Mick Rosenblatt for 3rd & 4th.
Nick & Mick's last battle was over a year ago when Nick was driving the R32 & would be a tight battle as both guys were looking for much needed points in the series. Mick ended up taking the win & Nick placed 4th for the day.
