It was a wonderful day at Carnell raceway in Stanthorpe on Sunday and as we first thought, some awesome battles.  The VE and the DriftKid were fantastic, consistent and qualified tied for 2nd place.  The VE handled magnificently and baked some of those Federal tyres up real nice and some smoke shows to die for.
With the top 8 being decided, Nick had to battle in the top 8 and he was battling against the aggressive Danny Kenneally in the Hogsbreath / Rock star car.  With no damaging points from either side and an EXTREMELY hard decision for the judges, Nick lost the battle to go to the top 4 due to non consistent proximity.
It was a great day and it was fantastic that we now have Scott Maiden doing the Qualifying sheets up as the day goes on so we can all see where the standings are as we compete.  We also had the DriftKid's grand parents feed our Team from 8am in the morning to late that afternoon with Bacon and egg rolls, and Hot dogs and the smell bought other teams over to say hello and get a feed.  Thank you Sid and Clare for keeping us feed and happy and don't forget to save me some of those biscuits.
Jess - DriftKid's girl friend made a new friend and decided to take him home to live with her (turtle) and the long trip home was very long.
So if you missed any of the action or just want to know how the day progressed, log on to http://www.torqueradio.com/ tomorrow night (17th of April) at 6.30 for the 1st official
