In case your not familiar with the new format of Stadium Drift Australia, here's how it works.
The are 4 sets of Qualifying heats, each having a Chase and a Lead run.
Each run is judged on EMULATION, PROXIMITY, ANGEL and CLIPPING POINTS.
All Drivers points are tallied up to find their qualifying Positions in the top 15.
The Bottom 8, now called the "B" Main, will battle for the winner to then proceed to the Top 7 making it now, the Top 8. The Top 8 is then knock out battles to get to the remaining Top 4. The Top 4 then battle as per normal format to decide the WINNER and the final 3 placings.
Top Qualifier of the Day is now earning a point per round and will have a "Top Tour Qualifier" award at the end of the season (idea suggested by our Team Manager himself).

Also another new event added to the line up is Team Battles, all though this did not take place in Round 1, we are hoping this will become a very popular ending to the day at each round.
Next Round of the Repco Pro Drift Championship is round 2 at Stanthorpe on Sunday the 15th of April.
Let's hope the DriftKid can make up some ground in the points ladder and take a podium win, as this seems to be his most popular and favourite track.
