KING OF DRIFTS - August 8 @ QLD Raceway......
As all DriftKid followers would know, Archy comp on Friday night turned out to be a very expensive exercise for Team JNC as the skyline first caught fire in the engine bay early on in the night before racing began. After battling with the top 16 against Morgish (Chris) , with a win on the DriftKid's side, they both did the helicopter burn out and as they left the track after a spectacular
show from both, officials notice there was a huge amount of oil dropped on the track. Checking both cars, it turned out to be the DriftKid's skyline which was the catch can leaking. After the pit crew fixed the problem they thought, he then went out for the top 8 battles. When the battlewas up against Scottie Maiden, and a tough battle it was, the officials notice there was oil leaking from the DriftKid's car and sent him off track...
This can be a real problem with oil on the track for other drifters. With an engine change comes many of problems and the DriftKid has copped his fare share lately with the car not being up to standard with reliability. So with another blown engine - all though this engine was questionable from the start, Team JNC now face the problem of either a rebuild or a swap. A1 Nissan are talking with Team JNC and have yet to come to an agreement on what needs to be done. But we will keep you informed, but one thing is for sure, the DriftKid is WINNING the Stadium Drift L2 Premiership and will be there to race at round 4 Stanthorpe on August the 16th. Team JNC's goal is for the DriftKid
to win 2010 Stadium Drift - King of Drift 2010 and to top it all off with the new award of Drifter of the Year 2010.
